AUBURN – Over 92 competitors participated in the recent Maine Mountain Series United States of America Snowboarding Association Slopestyle event at Lost Valley Ski Area. The event was open to both snowboarders and skiers, with qualifying snowboarders eligible to advance to the nationals later this year.
The following Lost Valley freestyle skiers (all from Auburn) took the top 3 places in the slopestyle ski competition for the 15-under division: 1. Shea Flynn; 2. Taylor McIntosh; 3. Devon Flynn.
Next slopestyle event is set for Saturday, Feb. 7 at Sugarloaf.
St. Dom’s girls win
AUBURN – Brit Michaud tallied 2 goals and an assist to lead the St. Dom’s girls to a 5-0 hockey win over Falmouth. Erica Dorso, Erica Vanderwerf and Elissa Vallee also scored. Other assists went to Vanderwerf (2) and Sarah Daigle.
