AUBURN – Randy Bolduc has been promoted to area manager at Formed Fiber Technologies Inc.
Bolduc now heads up the thermoforming segment of the Auburn manufacturer’s operations. The thermoforming area is where the company’s technical textile materials are custom molded to exact customer specifications.
Bolduc joined the company – then Gates Formed Fibre Products – in 1985 when he began work as a machine operator. Bolduc advanced over the years to quality assurance positions requiring increased responsibilities and managerial skills, and was most recently a quality engineer. In his new role, Bolduc supervises 140 people.
“Not only does Randy have a solid technical background,” said Plant Manager Jim Craig, “he also possesses the communication skills necessary to be an excellent area manager.”
Through the company’s tuition reimbursement program, Bolduc earned a bachelor of science degree in leadership and organizational studies from the University of Southern Maine and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in leadership studies from USM.
Bolduc and his wife, Dawn, have two daughters, Sara and Kimber.
