AUBURN – The Auburn Youth Hockey Millett Realty Mites won 2 games in recent action. Auburn defeated Kennebec 4-2 as Kara Violette notched a hat trick. Ryan Ratsep also scored. Assists went to Ratsep (2), Kara Violette, Connor Violette and Mitch Lorenz. Chris Murphy and Dallas Clark scored for Kennebec. Nevin Rand was the winning goalie. . . Auburn also trimmed Mid-Coast 6-3 as Kara Violette tallied 4 more goals. Lorenz and Jake Simard netted 1 each Credited with assists were Shelbea Russell (3), Kara Violette, Ratsep and Rand. Jeremy Williams scored twice for Mid-Coast. Tyler O’Connor potted the other. Kaleb Bridgham tended net for Auburn.

The AYH Day’s Jewelers Pee Wee Travel Team edged Kennebec 3-2 as Ben Blais popped the game-winner with just over a minute left. Also denting the twines were Steven Rouillard and Tim Millett. Receiving assists were Mat Gordon, Millett, Rouillard, Shawn Hird and Scott Cloutier. Adam Lerette guarded the cage.

The Northeast Plastic Surgery Squirt Travel Team earned 3 more victories during the weekend. Goalie Jameson Finch made 14 saves as Auburn blanked Lewiston Squirt Travel “B” 2-0. Nathan Bergeron and Brenden Giambra scored the goals. Cody Russell and Dylan Nadeau assisted. . . Northeast edged Lewiston Squirt Travel “A” 3-2 as Russell, Nadeau and Jordan Haskell each registered a goal. Drawing assists were Bergeron, Giambra, Drew Lupardo and Mariah Mosher. Finch stopped 26 shots in cage. . . Lupardo notched a hat trick as Auburn whitewashed Rochester, N.H. 7-0. Also lighting the lamp were Russell, Nadeau, Haskell and Bergeron. Receiving assists were Russell (3), Nadeau (2), Haskell (2), Bergeron (2), Giambra and Even Baggs. Finch collected 15 more saves.

GNG-Poland bows

Gray-New Gloucester/Poland dropped an 8-6 decision to Kennebunk in recent youth hockey action. Gardner Lajoie tallied 2 goals in a losing effort. Codie Keene, Matt McLeod, Seth Champagne and Ben Piper each netted a goal. Getting assists were Keene, Zach Arnold and Jake Trickey. Nick Roy and Sean Bilodeau shared the net duties. Corey Cole scored 2 goals for Kennebunk. Tyler Sandler, Chris Langlois, Trevor Stone, Chris Page, Joey Gobeil and Stuart Shavner tallied the others. Joey York donned the pads.
