1927 – 2004

RUMFORD – Claire Ruth (Paradis) Stiles, 76, a former resident of Congress St., and a patient for the last few years at the Rumford Community Home, died Saturday evening at Rumford Community Hospital following a long illness.

She was born in Rumford June 4, 1927, the daughter of John R. and Flora Toupin Paradis and was educated in the schools of Rumford. Ms. Stiles was employed at Diamond Match several years before her retirement.

Survivors include one son, Donald Stiles of Portland; two sisters, Mrs. Alphonse (Doris) Gaudin of Mexico and Mrs. Rita Towle of Rumford; and several nieces and nephews.
