Shirley Hamilton returned to Otisfield after an 18-year absence.
OTISFIELD – Shirley Hamilton said she’s seeking the town clerk/tax collector/treasurer position.
Hamilton, 54, returned to Otisfield this year after an 18-year absence. She had been working overseas on humanitarian projects for the Peace Corps for two stints, on the International Rescue Committee and for other, nongovernmental agencies.
She is married to an eighth-generation Otisfield man, Henry Hamilton.
“I am a hard-working and well-organized person,” Hamilton said. “The various positions I have held over the past years have honed the skills, both administrative and personal, required by a town clerk.
“I hope my neighbors will select me to serve them in this vital community office on March 6th at the Otisfield town meeting.”
