The new Range Rover HSE is the the Land Rover group’s top-of-the-line vehicle, continuing to better itself in terms of refinement and technological development. The Range Rover HSE is an all-purpose, aluminum-bodied, four-wheel drive vehicle.

The V8 engine dropped displacement from 4.6-liters to 4.4-liters, while boosting horsepower and torque. The advanced five-speed automatic transmission features CommandShift control, allowing manual, sequential shifting up and down, and a two-speed, electronically activated transfer gearbox with the ability to shift from Low to High or High to Low on-the-fly.

Range Rover’s appearance was dramatically altered last year with softened lines and contours, as was the monocoque body structure itself. Ground clearance was increased with approach and departure angles yielding greater off-road capability than before (ground clearance is now up to 11 inches) – maximum gradient is 45 degrees. Safety features, functionality and ergonomic issues are improved as well.

Range Rover’s focus is more simplified with but one body style and engine. Two luxurious woods and three leathers offer choices to complement interior tones chosen, with a new “Westminster” edition offered in a Java Black pearlescent finish and 20-inch bright alloy wheels – production is limited to 300.
