The newest member of the Nissan sport utility vehicle family, is the Pathfinder Armada for 2004. The Pathfinder Armada is a full-size SUV with seating for up to eight, built on an all-new platform featuring a fully boxed, high strength steel frame and independent rear suspension.
Pathfinder Armada, sports distinctive exterior styling, class-leading second row roominess, fold-flat 2nd and 3rd row seating without the need to remove head restraints. The wheelbase is 16.9-inches longer with overall length 24.2-inches more than Pathfinder.
Power comes from an all-new 5.6 liter DOHC 32-valve Endurance V8 with 305 horsepower and 385 foot pounds of torque, and provides a towing capacity of up to 9,100 pounds. The transmission is an advanced design 5-speed automatic with gated shifter, while 4-wheel drive versions add a two-speed transfer case with 4-Lo and Automatic or “shift-on-the-fly” 4×4 technology.
Pathfinder Armada comes in three trim levels: SE; SE- Off-Road; and the top-of-the-line LE. Standard features include side curtain airbags, proximity sensors, running boards, up to 14 cupholders, Vehicle Dynamic Control, Electronic Brake Force Distribution, adjustable brake and accelerator pedals with transmission interlock and roof rack with two cross bars.
