portland – Ellouise E. Johnson Nowlin, 77, of Stratton died Thursday, Feb. 12, in Portland.

She was born Sept. 5, 1926, in Dallas, a daughter of Montford and Charlotte Ross Johnson.

On Jan. 7, 1949 she married Alonzo Nowlin.

Mrs. Nowlin is survived by one sister, Vivian Currie of Chesterville; and one brother, Robert Johnson of Phillips.

In addition to her husband who died Dec. 24, 1979, she was predeceased by one daughter, Ellouise Nowlin in 1959; and one sister, Elizabeth Cote.
