JAY – A Livermore Falls man was injured Sunday when he failed to negotiate a corner on a groomed trail with his snowmobile. The man fell off his snowmobile and hit a big rock, Warden Gary Allen said.

James Doiron, 38, was traveling on a trail about a quarter-mile from Hyde Road when the accident occurred, Allen said.

Jay police reached the scene first, he said.

Doiron initially complained of leg, neck and internal injuries, Jay police Chief Larry White Sr. said, according to a police report.

Doiron was taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington by ambulance, Allen said.

Allen said he spoke to Doiron Monday and he reported having bumps and bruises.
