FARMINGTON – Sarah Davis recorded 14 points and six rebounds to lead Husson to a 54-53 victory over UMaine-Farmington in women’s basketball action Tuesday.

Crystal Martin added 12 points, while Shanuna Mullenix chipped in with eight for Husson (19-4).

UMF (17-6) was paced by Karen Sirois and Kate LaHaye with a combined 21 points.

Thomas 57, MMA 42

WATERVILLE – Courtney Corbett and Kim Drosdik each registered 14 points as Thomas rolled past Maine Maritime Academy 57-42 Tuesday evening.

Heather Carter added 13 points for the Terriers (9-13). Corbett recorded eight rebounds for the win as well.

Meghan Marshall downed 10 points for MMA (10-12).

USM 105, Plymouth St 46

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Jen Webster scored a game-high 23 points as the Southern Maine routed Plymouth State 105-46.

Tiffany Jones finished the contest with 20 points, while Lindsey Welch came off the bench to toss in 12 points. Katie Frost and Donna Cowing chipped in with 10 points each.

Webster made 7-of-10 shots from the floor, including a pair of three-pointers, and 7-of-8 free throws for her 28 points. She also pulled down a game-high seven rebounds.

UMF 77, Husson 53

FARMINGTON-Bobby Deetjen registered 16 points and six boards as the University of Maine at Farmington posted a 77-53 win over Husson.

Trafton Teague chipped in with 12 points, while Luke Nielsen added 10 for the Beavers.

The Braves were led by Bill Beauregard with 13 points.

Plymouth St. 92, USM 65

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Anthony Oglesby registered game-high totals of 22 points and 10 rebounds as Plymouth State rolled to a 92-65 victory over Southern Maine.

Kevin Boutilier added 17 points for the winners. Ryan Garland was the only double-digit scorer for the Huskies (8-16), recording 16 points for the losing cause.

Women’s Hockey

Southern Maine 5, Colby 3

GORHAM – Jennifer Carboni netted her first career hat trick to lift the University of Southern Maine to a 5-3 triumph over Colby Tuesday evening.

Kerry Leonard and Jessica Judge each added a goal to the Huskies (12-9-1) win as well.

Colby was led by Sasha Schroeder with the lone goal of the first period, and by Heath DeVito who netted a power play goal in the third.

Huskies’ Karen Jamnik finished the contest with 23 saves, while Lynn Hasday and Alex Harris combined for 13 saves for the White Mules (3-18) losing cause.
