WILTON – Planners will consider one new application at their 7 p.m. meeting Thursday at the town office.

Rebecca Anne Kelleher wants to run a day care at 684-A Main St. The home-based center will be for 8-12 children of various ages.

In other business, planners will meet with Dennis Taylor, who owns Taylor Made Homes, for an unspecified discussion. They will also continue to work on issues for the town meeting in June.

The issues they have been working on include taking information out of the zoning ordinance that conflicts with a newly enacted subdivision ordinance, the possibility of increasing the number of hours Code Enforcement Officer Brenda Medcoff works to address violations, the enforcement of junkyard violations, and possible ordinance changes for setback requirements from the water in the downtown area.

Other issues include changes to the land use table, Routes 2 & 4 access management, regulations around signs that advertise brand name products, shoreland expansions and cluster development.
