LISBON FALLS – Lisbon Adult Education wil offer a ParaPro test preparation course for individuals who are planning to take the ParaPro examination for educational technicians. The class will start on Wednesday, March 18, and will meet from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. for nine weeks. The course will use a Department of Education approved curriculum.

The University of Maine Cooperative Extension Service will offer its Smart Meals, Busy Families course through Lisbon Adult Education starting Wednesday, Feb. 25. The class, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., will run for eight weeks. Free child care will be provided for children age 4 and up. The cost of $15 will cover the food.

Students will receive healthy cooking information and each class will prepare various dishes. Children will join their parents for a meal at the end of each class. Students receive a book with helpful information and recipes.

A Basic Home Repair class will start Wednesday, March 3. The hands-on class will include basic construction, plumbing and electrical repair. It will meet from 6 to 9 p.m. for eight weeks.

A four-week Computer Trouble Shooting class will be offered from 4 to 6 p.m. starting Monday, Feb. 23. The class will focus on how to solve basic problems for home computers.

Two 10-week yoga classes will begin Tuesday, March 2. Beginning Yoga will meet from 5:15 to 6:45 p.m. and Continuing Yoga from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

A Beginner Swing Dancing class will start Thursday, March 4. The class will meet for five weeks from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Durham Elementary School.

A Medical Terminology II class will start on Tuesday, March 2, and will run for seven weeks from 6 to 9 p.m. An American Red Cross Babysitting class will start March 3 and will run for five weeks from 6 to 8 p.m.

Other courses starting in March will include Introduction to Microsoft Office, Computers for Complete Beginners, Microsoft Word and Substitute Teaching.
