SOUTH PARIS – Corey Tielinen dominated the game with 29 points as Oxford Hills posted a triumphant 91-58 victory over Leavitt in boys’ basketball action Wednesday.

Tom Kothe added 17 points for the win, while J.P. Powell chipped in with 13 points for the Vikings (17-1).

Jake Witham dropped in 17 points, while Tom Lilley and Jon Pirruccello each contributed 13 points a piece for the Hornets (2-16).

Mt. Ararat 65,

Medomak Valley 55

WALDOBORO – Colin Neyn netted 17 points to pace Mt. Ararat to a 65-55 victory over Medomak Valley in the last regular season contest for both squads Wednesday.

Andy Cantrell chipped in with 15 points for the Eagles (11-7), while Danny Colina added 10.

Justin Rice led the scoring effort for the Panthers (4-14) with 16 points, while Matt MacKenzie tallied 11 and Mike Boetsch added 10.

Hockey

Kents Hill 12, NYA 2

YARMOUTH – Zach Wilson netted a hat trick late in the third period to break open the contest, securing the Kents Hill’s 12-2 victory over North Yarmouth Academy Wednesday evening.

Tim Revell, Craig Houle, Jarrett Paul each tallied a pair of goals and recorded a combined eight assists for Kents Hill. Ross James, D.J. McNaughton, and Branislav Srnka each notched a goal.

Matt Curran and Jack Sidar each scored for NYA.

Boys’ basketball

Mt. Blue 57, Bangor 36

FARMINGTON – Christina Mosher netted 20 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to pace Mt. Blue to a 57-36 victory over Bangor in late-season girls’ basketball action Wednesday.

Heather Groder chipped in for the Cougars (12-6) with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Mosher and Groder combined for 22 of 26 points in the first quarter, setting the tone for this contest.

Caroline Weymouth led the Rams (14-8) with eight points, while Serena Dubois tallied seven and Kelsey Curtis added six.

Oxford Hills 43,

Leavitt 32

TURNER – Annie Foster hit for 12 of Oxford Hills’ first-half 14 points as the Vikings rolled past Leavitt, 43-32, Wednesday evening.

Foster finished the contest with 17 points for the Oxford Hills. Lauren Austin added 10 points. The Hornets (1-17) were paced by Annie Dyer with 11 points, while Bethany Burgess added 10.
