BANGOR – A new play by local playwright Linda Britt will be presented in a staged reading Saturday, Feb. 21, at the Bangor Public Library. “Let Me Count the Ways,” the third play by Britt, is part of the Made in Maine Theatre Workshop, a forum for Maine playwrights to present dramatic readings.

A collaboration with her son, Colin Britt, a composer and music student at the Hartt School of Music in Hartford, Conn., “Let Me Count the Ways” tells the story of a woman whose husband has just left her, and whose divorced girlfriends form a support group to help her through her transition. Also making an appearance are a number of the ex-husbands. It is a musical comedy that Britt hopes to eventually see produced locally.

The Saturday reading begins at 2:15 and is open to the public. A donation of $2 is suggested. For more information, call 567-3437.
