MINOT – The Community Club will hold its annual Meet the Candidates Night at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, in the Minot Consolidated School gymnasium. Six candidates, Randy Bourgoin, Harold Bridgham, Dennis DeCoster, Stephen French, Susan Geismar and Ralph Gilpatrick, are on the ballot vying for two seats on the Board of Selectmen.

LEWISTON – The Androscoggin Democratic Party will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, at the Lewiston Multi-Purpose Center. A reception with refreshments will follow the meeting.

Benefit supper
TURNER – The Volunteer Fire Department and Auxiliary is planning a benefit supper for longtime firefighter Cliff Jordan, who has been diagnosed with leukemia. The supper will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28 at the Boofy Quimby Memorial Center in North Turner. Proceeds will benefit Jordan’s family for various expenses. He is currently at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. Anyone wishing to help can contact a member of the fire department or auxiliary.
