1911 – 2004

QUEBEC CITY, Canada – Rev. Léo Rémillard, (Bernard-Marie), O.P., 92, of Quebec City (Canada) died Thursday, Feb. 12.

Born in Fall River, Mass., Sept. 21, 1911, he was the son of Alphonse Rémillard and Elmina Fortier.

He was a member of the Order of Friars Preachers and he entered the order in 1931 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1937. He served as rector, vicar, chaplain and preacher for more than 60 years in in Quebec City, Prince Albert, Fall River, Lewiston and Sackville, New Brunswick.

Survivors include several nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks go to Mr. and Mrs. Jean Gauvin, his nephew, Madeleine Hesler and the employees of the Tantamar Residence in Sackville.

His funeral service was held on Feb. 14, in Quebec City, on the very same day he was buried among his Fellow Dominicans in Saint-Hyacinthe.
