OLD TOWN – Tyler Bode dominated play with 26 points and 12 rebounds as No. 12 Mt. Ararat defeated No. 5 Old Town 70-62 in an Eastern Class A prelim game.

Andy Cantrell and Todd Strong each added 12 points for the Eagles (12-7).

Mike Thurston and Matt Petrie combined for 37 points for the Old Town Indians.

Mt. Ararat will meet No. 4 Bangor in the quarterfinals Saturday at the Bangor Auditorium.

Hebron 97, Hyde 91

HEBRON – Ari Paschal downed six 3-pointers en route to a game-high 33 points as Hebron slipped past Hyde for a 97-91 win Wednesday evening.

The teams were tied at 45-45 going into the second half. With help from Christian Mosley with 24 points and Jeff Scammon with 18, Hebron (14-9) pulled away.

Hyde (15-6) was led by Salim Wilson with 31 points and Richard Ortega with 27.
