AUBURN – Tonight will be the first 2004 registration date for the New Auburn Little League. It will take place at Walton School between 6-8 p.m. The divisions are Major and Minor Baseball (ages 8-12) and T-Ball (ages 5-7). Registration fee is $25. The child’s birth certificate must be presented.

Other registration dates: Saturday, March 6, Gee & Bee Sports, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Saturday, March, 13, ELHS cafeteria, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m

Field hockey planned

AUBURN – An adult indoor recreation field hockey program will take place Sundays from Feb. 29 to April 25 from 6-8 p.m. at the Great Falls Gym.

Participants can register at the Auburn Recreation Department or on the day of play. More information can be obtained by calling the ARD at 784-0191.

McGettigan takes fourth

DOVER-FOXCROFT – Betsy McGettigan of Norway, finished fourth in the Adult 4-Dog Speed Class at the Maine Highlands Challenge-Maine State Championship Sled race last weekend. McGettigan, an International Sled Dog Racing Association musher, completed the 8-mile course with a total time of 00:27:04.
