LEWISTON – The 13th annual Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl For Kids’ Sake fund-raiser for all programs in Androscoggin County and surrounding towns will be held on April 3 and 4.

The event will take place at Spare Time Recreation and is the largest fund-raiser of the year for the Child Health Center’s Big Brothers Big Sisters Program.

Bowl For Kids’ Sake is an event in which sponsors and bowlers raise funds needed to match local children with a Big Brother or Big Sister in area towns.

This year’s event again features prizes and awards for bowling team participants, including a Caribbean cruise for two for the winner of the grand prize drawing.

Big Brothers Big Sisters encourages anyone interested in helping make a difference in the life of a child to organize, join, or financially support a bowling team for this event.

Each team member raises advance contributions from family, friends, co-workers and employers to help provide hundreds of annual Big Brother Big Sister mentoring matches in these communities.

Many sponsors from area businesses also provide valuable support for Bowl for Kids’ Sake in levels from $100 to $1,000 and up in either cash or in-kind contributions.

To participate in the 2004 Androscoggin Area Bowl For Kids’ Sake event contact Big Brothers Big Sisters at 782-5437 or 743-0222 or send e-mail to [email protected]. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Western Maine is a program of the Child Health Center.
