Beano games and Chinese auctions are on the schedule.

LIVERMORE FALLS – Members of the Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens will begin playing beano the first Monday of each month as they meet at 1 p.m. at Murray Hall. The first session will be Monday, March 1.

At the Feb. 23 meeting, the group also agreed to hold a Chinese auction on the second Monday of each month.

Plans are being made for an Easter meal on April 5. This will be potluck style with each member contributing a covered dish. Serving will begin at 12:30 p.m.

Chairwoman Shirley Couture presided at the business meeting during which Mary Groleau led the group in singing “Lord, You Have Come.”

Couture announced that SeniorsPlus in Lewiston has moved from Main Street to 8 Falcon Road at the Lewiston Fair Grounds Industrial Park. Their new office opened Feb. 17.

Sybil Bailey was presented with a gift from the club as she has resigned from her position as membership committee.

It was noted that Walter and Lorraine Ellingwood had been in an accident but, fortunately, were not injured. Sympathy was expressed to Dora Slovak on the death of her brother, Herman Guerette, in South Carolina.

At the Feb. 16 meeting, sympathy was expressed to Marilyn DeSoto, Cecile Hathaway, Joan Lauzier and Pauline Duguay on their recent losses.

A card was read from Betty Coulombe, and Irene Hebert thanked the group for items donated to the Friends Club.

Louise Parker provided entertainment, and a Valentine poem was read by Shirley Couture and Shirley Toncer.

The 50/50 was won by Willie Chabot, a box of Valentine candy was won by Mary Potter and a box of kisses was also won by Chabot.

Refreshments were served by Shirley Couture, Carmen Moreau, Cecile Hathaway and Elvina Miller.
