Auburn Youth Hockey
AUBURN – Northeast Plastic Surgery Squirts travel team earned 2 wins Saturday. Dylan Nadeau collected 4 goals and Drew Lupardo 1 as Auburn nipped the Dover, N.H. All-Stars 5-4. Credited with assists were Cody Russell (3), Chris Tarr (3), Nathan Bergeron and Brenden Giambra. Goalie Jameson Finch made 23 saves. . . Auburn also trimmed Berlin, N.H. 8-1 as Finch stopped 15 shots. Nadeau registered a hat trick plus 2 assists. Jordan Haskell added 2 goals. Getting 1 each were Giambra, Tarr and Lupardo. Other assist-makers were Haskell (3), Tarr and Russell.
GNG/Poland wins
No. 6 Gray-New Gloucester/Poland pulled a huge upset Sunday, handing No. 1 Gorham only its third loss, 5-4, in middle school hockey action. Codie Keene notched a hat trick. Johnny Conant and Jarred Murphy also lit the lamp. Assists went to Conant, Murphy, Ben Piper and Gardner Lajoie. Nick Roy and Sean Bilodeau shared the net duties. David Gushee registered a hat trick for Gorham. Matt Roberts netted the other goal. Donny Gearon donned the pads.
