JAY – Nomination papers for elected school, municipal and Water District officials are due back Monday, March 8.

Returning papers as of March 2 were incumbent Selectman Barry McDonald for a three-year selectman’s term; incumbent Jay Village Water District Trustee Richard Jackson for a three-year district position; and incumbent North Jay Water District Trustee Mike Wells for a three-year district position.

On the school election side, three people have returned papers for two, three-year School Committee terms currently held by Clint Brooks and Gene Uhuad. Seeking election so far to the two slots are Brooks, former School Committee member Robin Roberts and newcomer Cathy Butterfield.

Seeking election so far to a one-year School Committee term are Nancy Chaney and Mary Redmund-Luce. Redmond-Luce was appointed last month by the School Committee to fill former Chairman Jim Durrell’s term until the April 20 election.
