1902 – 2004

LEWISTON – Antoinette G. Moreau, 101, formerly of 4 Bosse St., Lewiston, died Tuesday, March 2, at d’Youville Pavilion, following a brief illness.

Born at St. Narcisse, P.Q., Nov. 21, 1902, the daughter of Alfred and Marie (Guay) Guenet, she had been a resident of this community since 1916.

She was employed as a weaver in the local textile industry, until her retirement in 1964. She was a member of Holy Cross Church, the Lewiston Senior Citizens, La Survivance, Ladies of St. Ann and the Third Order of St. Dominic.

Mrs. Moreau was a top notch seamstress and enjoyed dress making. Being an artist, her work had to be perfect. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and was very devoted to her religion.

She married Dominic J. Moreau on Sept. 26, 1927, and he died on Nov. 23, 1973.

Survivors include three sons, Julien Moreau and his wife, Venise, Bertrand Moreau and his wife, Madeleine and Reynald Moreau and his wife, Joyce, all of Lewiston; one daughter, Marguerite Baribault and her husband, Jules of Lewiston; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son, Louis Moreau in 1937; four brothers; and five sisters.
