1919 – 2004
LEWISTON – Herve J. Cloutier, 84, of Meadowview Apartments, died Thursday morning, March 4, at d’Youville Pavilion.
He was born in Spring Hill, Canada, on May 19, 1919, the son of Joseph and Marie Anne (Grenier) Cloutier.
He worked at the Minot Shoe Shop in Auburn, Continental Mill in Lewiston, the former Louis P. Bail Co. in Lewiston, and later following his retirement, he worked part-time as a custodian for Holy Family Parish.
He was a member of Holy Family Church where he was involved with several prayer groups and was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 106, Wallace Assembly.
He is survived by his three sisters and their husbands, Irene and Norman Elie of Lewiston, Theresa and Chuck Brower of Skowhegan, and Yvette and Norman Bolduc of Lewiston; one sister-in-law, Lillian Cloutier of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother, Irenee Cloutier; and his sister, Simonne Denis.
