PORTLAND – Master showman Elton John will perform live in concert Saturday, April 24, at the Cumberland County Civic Center.

Known for his electrifying performances and many hit records, Elton John is an international superstar. Beginning with his first American hit “Your Song” in 1970, the singer/pianist has had more than 50 Top 40 hits.

In 1993, he surpassed Elvis Presley for the most consecutive years of Top 40 hits on Billboard’s Hot 100, and became the only artist to have reached the Top 30 for 24 uninterrupted years.

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $85.50 and $65.50 for reserved seating. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March 5. They are available at Ticketmaster outlets; by phone at (207) 775-3331 or (207) 775-3458; and online at www.cc.com.
