RUMFORD – Rumford Area Rotary’s first Lobster Lunch of the year is slated for March 22. Rotarians will deliver or fax order sheets to local businesses and offices.

Once filled out, the orders can be faxed to Lobster Lunch Chairman Greg Trundy. Lunches are $7 and include a lobster salad roll, chips, a brownie or other goodie and soft drink of the luncher’s choice.

Lunches are delivered directly to workplaces by Rotary volunteers.

Proceeds from the Lobster Lunch contribute directly to the Rotary’s Scholarship Fund for higher education-bound high school seniors and its donations to local charities.

Planning Market Day

Mary Murphy and “The Core” were popular performers last year, and the committee is pleased that they’ve offered their time for an all-day appearance this year.

Vendor applications are available. Any person or group wanting to sell things such as food, crafts, raffle tickets or flea market items should contact Ralph or Norine at 562-8816 daytimes Tuesdays through Saturdays. The committee members include Felicia Pietila, Diane Carleton, Lori Chartier, Hugh and Vawn Daley and Laurie Taylor.
