RUMFORD – The officers and members of Le Paresseux Club invite the public to their annual outing at the club, 227 Waldo St.
The club will open at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 13, with Fraternal Union meeting at 2 p.m. A corned beef and ham supper will be available from 5 to 6 p.m. Cost will be $6 per person $3 for children 12 years and under. A dance will be held from 8 p.m. until midnight, music will be by E/I Band.
On Sunday, March 14, lineup for the parade is at 9 a.m. in front of Thibault Funeral Home, Penobscot Street. Clubs whose members cannot march may ride in a car with their club name on the side. Cars will follow behind marching units. The Parade will depart for Mass at 9:15 a.m. Mass will be at St. Athanasius & St. Johns Church at 9:30 a.m.
Reassembly for the parade back to club is at 10:30 a.m.
A meatloaf dinner will be available at noon. Cost will be $4 per person and $2 for children 12 years and under.
The king, queen, prince and princess of the 2004 International Snowshoe Championship in Montreal, Canada, are welcome to take part in the parade and will be escorted as a group into the church.
Awards will be given for drum corps, twirling majorette, Color Guard and most numerous from United States and Canada.
