NEW SHARON – A New Portland man was arrested after he allegedly entered a New Sharon residence without permission and threatened two occupants.

Daniel A. Nash, 39, was charged with two counts of criminal threatening, aggravated criminal trespassing, burglary of a motor vehicle and domestic assault, said Franklin County Sheriff’s Detective David St. Laurent. Nash allegedly assaulted an acquaintance at the home and tried to assault another person there, he said. He also allegedly entered the victim’s vehicle, he said.

Nash’s bail called for $5,000 cash or $20,000 surety, St. Laurent said.

Nash posted the surety March 9 and has a court date of April 28.
