LEWISTON – The final qualifying round in the Maine State Junior Gold Tournament is scheduled for March 27 at Spare-Time Recreation.
A total of 13 young bowlers have already qualified for the National Tournament July 10 at Fort Worth, Texas, by virtue of their accomplishments at previous qualifying rounds held at Augusta and Waterville. Two more bowlers will qualify on March 27.
Junior Gold members must maintain a 175 average for boys and 165 for girls in order to compete at this level.
There will be a fund-raising spaghetti luncheon on March 27 at Spare-Time from 12 noon to 5 p.m. Bowling competition will begin at 3 p.m.
