BANGOR – The West turned out to be the best in three of the four Maine McDonald’s Senior All-Star basketball games held at Husson College Saturday.

After dropping the first game of the day, the girls’ C/D game, the West went on to win the remaining three games.

Samantha Davis of Shead and Katilyn Leeman of Woodland scored 15 points apiece to lead the East over the West in the C/D girls’ game, 47-45. Khalilah Ummah of Waynflete led the West with eight points, while Jay’s Heather Johnson added six and Winthrop’s Anna Warren four.

The C/D West boys outlasted the East in a 73-69 win. Valley’s Mark Gaudet led the way with 17 points, while Monmouth’s Mark Wade added 10 and Ian Pullen of St. Dom’s nine points. Josh Madden of Calvary Christian led the East with 18 points.

The West won again in the A/B girls’ game, 75-51. Deering’s Megan Urban led four West All-Stars in double figures with 16 points. Gray-New Gloucester’s Josolee Danielli poured in 10 points. Michelle Post of Presque Isle led the East with 10 points. Lewiston’s Amanda Bryant had four points.

In the final game of the day, Marshwood’s Shawn Tobey poured in a game-high 18 points to lead the A/B West boys to a 74-65 win. Isaac Hutchinson of Messalonskee paced the East with 10 points, while Mt. Blue’s Brian Wells added eight.
