1951 – 2004

AUBURN – Robert A. Goulette, 53, of Fairmount Avenue in Auburn, passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening, March 21, at his home.

He was born Feb. 1, 1951, in Lewiston, the son of Vivian and Joseph Goulette. He was educated in Livermore Falls schools and graduated in 1971. Upon graduation he moved to Auburn where he found employment at Stride-rite Shoe for eight years before moving on to Gates Formed-Fibre of Auburn. He worked at Gates for 12 years before retiring due to ill health.

On May 13, 1989, he married Nellie Stevens of Auburn. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, football, photography, his cats, and spending time with his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Nellie, and three sons, Anthony Moore of Wilmington, N.C., Isaac Stevens of Auburn, and Joshua Stevens and his wife Angel of Buxton; in one more month, “Bob” would have been a grandfather; three brothers, Ronald Goulette of Lewiston, Richard Goulette and his partner, Marjorie Gowdie of Auburn, and David Goulette and his wife Kathy of Wilton; three sisters, Linda Bledsoe and her husband David of Mississippi, Pauline Theberge and her husband Larry of Auburn, Nancy Crocker of Wilton; and several nieces and nephews.

He was loved by all, and will be very sadly missed.
