1912 – 2004

LEWISTON – Stanley B. Foulke, 91, of Schooner Estates, Auburn died at Central Maine Medical Center surrounded by his family Sunday, March 21.

He was born in Windham, Pa., on June 12, 1912, the son of Milton and Nellie (Brink) Foulke. He was educated in his home town of Windham, Pa., and on June 25, 1932, he married the former Irene Maxiam. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II, earning the Bronze Star.

He owned and operated Stan Foulke Typewriter Service Co. from 1948 until his retirement in 1980.

He was a member of The United Travelers Club, past president of the Rotary Club, a Mason in Ashlar Lodge 105 and was a Shriner.

He enjoyed listening to music, doing puzzles, and tinkering around the house. He enjoyed being around people and loved spending time with his great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Pamela Foulke of Wales; two grandchildren, David Foulke and his wife Laura of Monmouth, and Debra Greenwood and her husband Rodney of Lakewood, WA.; five great-grandchildren, Amber Soboleski of Lowell, Mass., Kara and Tiarah Greenwood of Lakewood, Wa., and Nikolas and Matthew Foulke of Monmouth.

He was predeceased by his wife, Irene in 2000; and his son, Roger in 1980.
