WATERFORD – Lois Grigg and Pastor Anita White are co-leading a series of four workshops titled Archaeology of the Holy Land in March and April.

Grigg has done archaeological digs in the Holy Land and has continued her interest in the subject through further reading and studies.

White connects archaeological discoveries with specific Biblical passages. The workshops are open to the public free of charge, and people are welcome to attend one or all of the remaining three sessions. The March 17 workshop was an introduction to the topic, investigation of maps both ancient and modern, viewing of videos, and open discussion.

The remaining sessions will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, and Wednesdays, April 21 and 28, at the Wilkins Community House next to the church in Waterford Village. Topics include the Dead Sea Scrolls, The Flood, Galilean Archaeology and Jerusalem.

The series is sponsored by the Waterford Congregational Church, United Church of Christ. For further information, phone Grigg at 583-9930.
