NORWAY – The Norway Coffeehouse Open Mic Night will be held Friday, March 26, at the First Universalist Church, 479 Main St.

Sign-up is at 6:30, and the open mic begins about 7 p.m. Admission is $3. Performers of all ages are encouraged to share their acoustic musical instruments, original music, and poetry in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Listeners are invited to attend. There will be vending opportunities for those artists with CDs or writing for sale, and refreshments will also be available.

Now in its third year, the monthly open mic nights, hosted by Maine performer and recording artist Heather Pierson, have raised hundreds of dollars to date for local nonprofit and charitable agencies.

“Everyone is welcome here,” Pierson said, “especially those who want to just come and listen. Participation is not required.”
