1908 – 2004

LEWISTON – Lolita E. Sansoucy, 96, of 550 College St., Lewiston, died Wednesday, March 10, at the Montello Manor Nursing Home.

Born in Auburn on Jan., 12, 1908, she was the daughter of J. Napoleon and Laura Baron Sansoucy. She was educated in Auburn and Lewiston schools and graduated from Jordan High School in 1925.

Most of her working years were with the U.S. Federal Government in offices in the state of Maine. After several years in the Augusta office of the Internal Revenue Service, she transferred to the Lewiston office of the Social Security Administration, working there for 19 years and retiring in 1974, as a Service Representative.

She was a member of the Retired Federal Employees Association and a member of Holy Family Parish. She enjoyed music and reading, and traveled extensively, visiting countries all over the world.

Survivors include two brothers, Romeo and wife Jeanette Sansoucy of Lewiston, and Robert Sansoucy of Lewiston; and several nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Madeline Boutin; and two brothers, Dr. Jerome Sansoucy and Armand G. Sansoucy.
