OXFORD – The Oxford Historical Society will resume meetings at 7 p.m. Friday, March 26, at the Kay House meeting room on Pleasant Street. There will be a program on the Downing Homestead in East Oxford presented by Clarence Merrill, secretary-curator. Refreshments will be served. The public is invited.

WOODSTOCK – The Woodstock Seventh-day Adventist Church is hosting a free seminar on building healthy relationships on Friday, March 26, and Saturday, March 27. Merlin and Cheryl Knowles, who will be leading the seminar, have been married for 26 years and have conducted marriage-strengthening weekends throughout the northeast. Seminar times will be Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9:45 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4 p.m.

Benefit supper

BUCKFIELD – Evening Star Lodge 147, AF and AM, will host a spaghetti supper to benefit SAD 39’s Destination Imagination Teams in their quest for state and world titles. The supper will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 27, at the Masonic Lodge.

Dinner will include spaghetti, choice of meatballs or sausage, rolls, salad, dessert and beverage. Cost of the meal is strictly by donation, with entire proceeds going to the support of the teams. Team members will be demonstrating their talents during the meal.

Softball sign-ups

SUMNER – The Sumner Recreation Department will be having summer girl’s softball registration from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 27, and Saturday, April 3, at the Sumner Town Office. Registration fee is $10 per child. Sign-ups will include the following: Farm team, 7 to 10 years, coach will be Laurie Heap; Little League, 11 to 13 years, coach will be Kim Strout; Senior League for Hartford and Sumner girls, 14 to 18 years, coaches will be Arlene Bedard and Randy Poulin. Bridge results

NORWAY – Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge met Friday at the Fare Share Food Coop. Winners were: First, Harry Richardson and Les Buzzell; second, Pat and Mike Quinn; third, Marta Clements and Nancy Farmer; and fourth, Eleanor Griffin and Jim Dickens.

Duplicate Bridge meets every Friday at Fare Share, 443 Main St. All bridge players are welcome and partners are guaranteed. Play begins promptly at 9 a.m. Refreshments are served. Society program

FRYEBURG – Craig Holden and Frank Smith will perform a one-act comedy production called “The Constituent” at a meeting of the Fryeburg Historical Society starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 6. Pre-kindergarten

OTISFIELD – Children planning to attend kindergarten in the fall are invited to attend the Otisfield Prekindergarten Club with their parents from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays, April 7, 28 and May 5, at the school.

Parents are expected to come with the child, but siblings are encouraged to be left at home. Materials will be given out that can be used to do interesting activities. Parents are encouraged to call the school at 627-4208 to let them know they are coming.

Sculpture program

LOCKE MILLS – The Greenwood Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, at the historical building. Gil Whitman will be doing a program on metal sculpture. Everyone is welcome.
