PARIS – The Rev. Robert Wolf will be the speaker at the First Universalist Church, 36 Pine St., South Paris, Sunday, March 28. His topic at the 10 a.m. service will be “Lent – Building the Strength of Faith.”
The organ voluntaries will begin at 9:50. The music will be under the direction of Forest Perkins, church organist. Sunday School will be in session and child care is provided.
The coffee hour will follow in Good Cheer Hall. Everyone is welcome.
College speaker
WEST PARIS – Randy Heinonen, director of annual giving and alumni relations at Finlandia University (formerly Suomi College), will be speaking at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, at the Finnish-American Heritage Center. Anyone interested is welcome to attend.
Egg hunt
OTISFIELD – The annual Easter egg hunt for town residents will take place Saturday, April 3, at the Otisfield Community School. In case of rain, it will be held inside.
Sports registration
OTISFIELD – The town is looking for players for its baseball team (ages 5 to 15) and softball team (5 to 18). Registration forms can be picked up at the Otisfield Communtiy School on Poohettan Road.
Homemakers meet
FRYEBURG – Members of the Fryeburg Homemakers Extension will meet Wednesday, April 14, at the Legion Hall on Bradley Street. Coffee will be available at 8:30 a.m. and the meeting opens at 9. Wendy Legg Pollock of Oxford County Extension will speak on “Supporting Families in Transition.”
Guests and new members are welcome. There will be a potluck luncheon and the hostesses Priscilla Barton and Janet Walton will serve coffee and dessert.
Chamber concert
BERLIN, N.H. – A chamber music concert will be held at the Community Arts Center, 155 Emery St., at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 18, presented by the International Musical Arts Institute’s Northward Bound 2003-04 series.
