PARIS – A West Peru man, who allegedly burglarized SAD 21 schools in Dixfield last year, was indicted Thursday on multiple charges by the Oxford County grand jury.
Michael Andrew Parker, 22, of 254 Dickvale Road, was charged with six counts of felony burglary, seven counts of theft and two counts of criminal trespass.
Parker, who was arrested last week by Dixfield police Chief Richard A. Pickett, remains in Oxford County Jail in Paris, unable to post bail of either $1,500 cash or $5,000 surety.
He is to be arraigned Thursday, April 8, in Oxford County Superior Court in Paris.
According to the indictment, some of the charges against Parker are:
• Burglary and theft at the T.W. Kelly Dirigo Middle School in Dixfield on Feb. 28, 2003. Currency and coins were stolen.
• Burglary and theft at Dixfield Elementary School on Aug. 29, 2003. Food was taken.
• Burglary and theft at Dirigo Middle School on Aug. 29, 2003. Coins and personal checks were stolen.
• Burglary and theft at the middle school on Sept. 3, 2003. Two key rings were taken.
• Burglary and theft at the middle school on Sept. 17, 2003. Key rings were stolen.
• Criminal trespass on Dec. 3, 2003, for entering a locked or barred structure owned by the Dixfield Village Association.
• Theft of shoes from Linda Ann Berryment on March 7.
• Burglary and theft at the elementary school on March 8. Clothes, coins and miscellaneous receipts were taken.
• Criminal trespass on March 8 for entering property of N.C. Rema Property Management in defiance of a lawful order from Pickett to not enter.
