MECHANIC FALLS – Auburn Manufacturing Inc. recently received the new ISO 9001:2000 Standard certificate in recognition of its implementation of an exemplary quality management system.

“To attain this certification,” said Kathie M. Leonard, AMI’s president and chief executive officer, “we developed processes to ensure the highest quality standards in every department and every key activity of our company, with the aim of achieving and even surpassing both external and internal expectations for product and service quality, personnel training and development, workplace safety and productivity, operational efficiency and effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.”

AMI produces high performance fabrics and textiles for extreme-temperature industrial applications.

The 9001:2000 certificate was awarded by the Quality Systems Division of RWTUV-USA Inc. RWTUV-USA provides a full range of testing and certification services for over 100 industries and is dedicated to verifying compliance to safety and quality standards by performing inspections, tests and audits.
