LEWISTON – George L. Smith Jr., 90, a resident of 87 West Bates St., Auburn, died Sunday, Mar. 28, at Russell Park Manor following a long illness.

He was born in Putnam, Conn., the son of George L. and Vellie (Pinkham) Smith Sr. He married the former Marcia Eleanor Piper on May 2, 1942. Mr. Smith was also an Army veteran of World War II.

He was employed many years for Radio Supply which later became Audio Supply until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marcia Eleanor Smith of Auburn.
