AUBURN – Rec-Ing Crew remained unbeaten a ninth game in recent action in the Auburn Rec Women’s Slowdown Basketball League with a 54-28 victory over Hoop Camp. Lynn Girard led with 15 points. Adding support were Stacey Campbell (8) and Jessica Veilleux (7). Joan Miller paced the Campers with 8 points. Sharon Chicoine added 7.
Sarah Seames and Karen Desjardin each collected 8 points as Shirl’s Girls edged Independent Women 39-36. Kelly Brower added 7 to the winning attack. Ashley Golden led the Women with 13. Katie McKenzie added 9 and Mindy Levesque 8.
Old School knocked off Young Ones 55-46 as Angie Beal scored 18, Jessica Bechard 12 and Betsy Pratt 10. Pauline Veinote poured in 23 for Young Ones. Elaine Keene added 8.

Western Stars split
WATERVILLE – The Western Stars split a pair of games in the 16-year-old Division of the Youth Basketball of America State Regional Tournament during the weekend.
The Stars dropped their opener to Maine Thunder, 50-43. C. Mosher led the Stars with 22 points. A. Mansir added 15 and M. Durrell 2. K. Laflin paced Thunder with 17. A. Pepin and B. Dixon added 8 apiece.
The Stars turned back Maine Jazz 64-36 as Mosher tallied 20 and Mansir 17. A. Laney contributed 9. Jazz was led by Rousseau (11) and Goden (8).
