JAY – A Jay man was arrested Saturday on a charge of violating terms of his probation after he allegedly assaulted a female acquaintance.
Mark Buck, 25, used physical force and pushed the woman to the ground and assaulted her, Jay police officer Richard Caton IV said.
Buck had been on probation for a previous charge of harassment by telephone, Caton said.
The woman reported the assault, he said.
Buck remained in the Franklin County jail early Monday afternoon.
Buck was issued a summons on the assault charge, Caton said, and is scheduled to appear May 26 in Farmington District Court.
