The group wants to determine where parking is needed.

FARMINGTON — A parking committee is planning to survey the businesses downtown to determine where employees are parking.

Town Manager Richard Davis said the town plans to use the information to get some idea what the parking needs are downtown.

Signs pointing out the parking area in town have been received and should go up shortly.

Five of the six large planters that will have trees planted in them and go in selected no parking zones on Main and Broadway have been received, Davis said.

Bobbie Hanstein, chairwoman of the town’s Conservation Committee, is heading up the project.
