LIVERMORE FALLS – Ware-Butler Inc. plans to expand its operation across from its Depot Street store on land at Depot and Pleasant streets.

Manager David Frey said he plans to have the lot cut and to build a large warehouse on it. The lot is more than an acre, he said.

He said he’ll bring a proposal to the Planning Board when the plans are firmer.

The additional space would allow new products to be kept on-site, rather than having to order them from another Ware-Butler lumber and building supply store, he said. It would also give the company more space in its existing building for its product line, Frey said.

The company is in the middle of a major remodeling project inside the store, he said. The outside of the building will also be redone.

Frey said he has about 10 employees now. Once the expansion is done, it could mean more jobs down the line but he couldn’t commit to that now, he said.

“I would like to have everything done by fall,” Frey said.
