SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Auburn’s Nicole Keene fired a no-hitter to lead Bryant College to an 8-0 victory over Assumption.

It was Keene’s third career no-hitter in a Bulldog uniform and fifth win of the season.
USM sweeps
BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Christen Lachapelle went 4-for-4 with two RBIs to lead Southern Maine to an 8-5 victory over Bridgewater State in the first of two games Tuesday. USM completed the sweep with a 5-2 win in the nightcap.

The Huskies (11-3) jumped out to a 6-0 lead through five innings in the opener and then held off a late rally. Caterina Riitano drove in three runs with a bases-loaded triple. Katie Mainville fanned eight for the Huskies.

In the nightcap, the Huskies rallied from a 2-2 tie in the fourth inning for the 5-2. RBI singles by Renee Heath and Darci Holland gave the Huskies an early 2-0 lead, but the hosts tied it in the fourth. USM regained the advantage when Jesse Becher faked a steal of second, allowing Angela Cote to score the go-ahead run by stealing home. Becher later scored on a passed ball.

Melissa Henderson fanned five and allowed one walk while notching her fourth win of the season.
Men’s lacrosse
Plymouth St. 11, USM 2
GORHAM – Pat O’Malley scored three goals to lead Plymouth State to a 11-2 romp over the Southern Maine.

Jon Gagnon, Steve Skinner and Eric Gobiel chipped in for the Panthers (3-3) with two goals apiece. Steve Valeri needed only two saves in net to notch the win.

Shane Billings and Mark Bubier tallied goals for the Huskies (2-4), while Jeff Lamoreaux made 12 saves in net.
Nichols 9, UNE 6
BIDDEFORD – Keith Blum netted six goals to help lead Nichols College to a 9-6 victory over the University of New England.

Matt Vieira and Tyler Tyburski led the Nor’Easters (0-4) with two goals and two assists apiece. Paul Taber made 26 saves in net.
