1951 – 2004

LEWISTON – Gloria J. Strout, 53, of East Avenue died Tuesday, April 6, at her daughters home after a long illness.

Born in Mt. Desert Island on March 11, 1951, the daughter of Ira and Charlotte (Patterson) Strout.

She was agraduate of Mt. Desert High School. She enjoyed tole painting and knitting. Prior to her illness she was employed by Bantan Wood Products.

She is survived by her mother of Burnham; a daughter, Tammy Kimball and her fiancé Michael Hewett of Lewiston; a son, Wade and his wife Nicole Strout of Bass Harbor; four sisters, Donna Phelps of Englewood Fla., and Boothbay Harbor, Marcia Damon of Burnham, Beverly and her husband Brian King of Burnham, Trudy White of Augusta; four brothers, Clifford Strout of Poland, Eugene and his wife Roberta Strout of Bar Harbor, Clayton and his wife Denise Strout of Manset, and Arnold and his wife Sue Strout of Dixmont; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father; her long time companion, William Felker; one sister, Nancy Dunkel; one brother, Dennis Strout.
