BOSTON (AP) – Maureen Costello Wedge, vice president of human resources at the Sun Journal of Lewiston, Maine, was elected March 26 as president of the New England Newspaper Association during its annual meeting.

She succeeds Irving E. “Chip” Rogers III, publisher of The Eagle-Tribune newspaper of Lawrence.

Presidents of NENA, an organization of publishers of daily and weekly papers in New England, serve one-year terms.
