FAYETTE – Parents who are planning to enroll their children in kindergarten for the 2004-05 school year at Fayette Central School will need to register them on Friday, May 7, between 8 a.m. and noon.

To be eligible to start school this fall, a child must be 5 years on or before Oct. 15. Call Mrs. Pinkham at 685-4770 to schedule an appointment.

At the time of registration, parents will need to bring an official birth certificate, immunization records, Social Security card, proof of residency and custody document if necessary.

During the registration process, the child will receive a vision, speech, language, cognitive, motor and hearing screening.

The school is also planning for next year’s pre-kindergarten program and needs to find out how many children in Fayette are eligible to attend prekindergaraten (age 4) in the fall. Call the school secretary at 685-4770 as soon as possible.
