LIVERMORE FALLS – An $839,700 budget for the Livermore Falls Water District for 2004 was approved by trustees at their annual meeting Wednesday, as well as the first quarter report since the district runs on a calendar year.

It was agreed to elect the same slate of officers: Margaret Leclerc as chairman of the board, which also consists of Darryl Brown and Tom DuBois; Cheryl Marceau as clerk/treasurer; and Doug Burdo as superintendent.

Approval was also given to the capital budget of $74,000. Included in that is $25,000 for replacement of sand in one of the four filters at the treatment plant, upgrading the computer operating system for $2,000, upgrading the master meters at $13,500 and putting a raised-seam roof on an addition, planned for handicap access.

Replacing a half-ton pickup for $13,709 had already been done and an $8,000 mapping program was not included.
