PERU – The Families in Crisis Task Force will hold a community luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. Monday, April 19, at the Rockemeka Grange Hall, 92 Peru Center Road. The menu will include roast beef. Donations will be accepted.
Seniors dinner
DIXFIELD – Neighborly Senior Citizens will meet on Wednesday, April 21, at the Dixfield American Legion Hall. The meeting will start at 11 a.m. followed by a free roast pork dinner with all the fixings furnished and prepared by Post 100.

Entertainment will be provided by Silver and Gold. Payment for the May 3 trip to Indian Head Resort in Lincoln, N.H., is due. Two buses will go and there are a few seats still available. Call Connie at 364-4189 for details.

Membership in the Neighborly Seniors is open to anyone age 50 and over. New members are welcome.
Alzheimer group
RUMFORD – The monthly Alzheimer Support Group will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, at 85 Lincoln Ave. Note the change in location. For more information phone Donna Landry at 364-3695.
Class luncheon
RUMFORD – The women of the Stephens High School class of 1949 will meet for the monthly luncheon at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, at the Island Cafe on Congress Street.
Beekeepers class
RUMFORD – Western Maine Beekeepers Association will present a class on dividing hives at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, at Mountain Valley High School. The class will be held in room 302 and all area beekeepers are invited. Master Beekeeper Rick Cooper will do a presentation on splitting hives as a method of making additional colonies.

The association completed the annual beginner’s bee school on April 14 and is offering the advanced class for those who already have honey bees and wish to further their beekeeping skills. For additional information contact Carol Cottrill 364-0917 or Nick Kelley 364-4121
